aviva property commissions project team for triangle refurbishment
      december 2011

Aviva Property has appointed Waterman Boreham as part of a project team lead by Spring and Company to undertake the external refurbishment of the Triangle shopping centre in Manchester.

From its recent interior refurbishment in 2005, Aviva Property, formerly Morley Trust has sought planning permission to carry out some external works on the listed building, including stonework enhancements on the main entrance, as well as the introduction of external lighting and banners to refresh the centre's image. Paving levels in Exchange Square are to be lifted to provide a level pedestrian access into the centre from the proposed tram stop which is to be located just outside the centre on Corporation Street as part of the second city crossing.

The centre has changed over the years to appeal to a varied demographic. In 2005 turned it into an urban achiever, appealing to 18- to 35-year-olds. However, it has moved on again to appeal to the 21 to 45 age range.

Waterman Boreham will be responsible for providing highways and transportation advice to include servicing, signage and input in to the public realm.
