Waterman Boreham has successfully undertaken the design and delivery of many high profile public realm projects for both public and private sector clients.

These projects include insightful input into masterplanning, urban design and development for public domain regeneration. Typically this includes public open spaces and the streets and open areas between or adjacent to buildings of all kinds in city centres, town centres, district centres, shopping centres and squares.

Improvements in the local environment bring substantial benefits to inhabitants and, by investing in the time to understand our clients’ specific needs and expectations, we can deliver these improvements while adding value to schemes on behalf of our clients.

The transportation and engineering input into schemes from feasibility studies through to implementation completes Boreham’s comprehensive one-stop service, including supervision of the work across the public and private sector.

Our Approach

Boreham has formed strong relationships with leading landscape architects, urban designers and cost consultants which enables us to lead an experienced team capable of delivering high quality public realm projects for both public and private sector clients.

Experience has shown that our clients are best served when we take the role of lead consultant from completion of RIBA stage D, through to detailed design drawings, tender issue, appraisal and appointment of contractor, and mobilisation on site.

Throughout the process, Boreham work closely with local highway authorities to agree the design and specification for pavements, street lighting, street furniture and public art.
